Having computer repair drama. I took the thing in a few days ago to get a new battery and a new dvd burner drive, because neither were functioning perfectly- the battery was running out really fast and the drive wasn't burning. I got a new battery and they had to order the drive, but by the time I took it back in yesterday for a new drive, the new battery had caused some problem with the power cord, which is now working intermittently. I tried to tell the girl this yesterday when she replaced the drive, but she ran a diagnostic and was cheerfully telling me that everything was fine when uh my computer is running out of power pretty much constantly while it is on and even sometimes not charging while it is off. I made another appointment for tomorrow and they may need to take it in. I hope the repair isn't systemic because if it is, that will probably be out of my pocket and not covered under the warrantee. Frak.

In other news Christmas was good- I was ill but the food was good and my mom made me tea and I felt better by the time I left. Tonight I just couldn't sleep so that's why I'm up at this weird hour. I guess I slept from like 10 pm to like 2 am. I also saw Sherlock Holmes yesterday and it is ridiculously slashy and there may or may not be pwp fic incoming- it depends on how my computer behaves in the shop today.
